This fireplace was installed by home owners Mike and Megan Boling in Upland California:
Actually Mike is one of our head trainee fabricators/ welders. We are so fortunate Megan allows Mike to work with us :-)
At least the original fireplace screen is beautiful! The fireplace had to be hidden, honest.

The gas line/ stub was located close to the front, not problem.
The Sterling Panels were installed, after cardboard templates were made.
These were Dark Gray Panels
There is only one company GLOBALLY who offers and manufactures these panels, you guessed it, US!
Panels are in and even the cat has to inspect. I think he was looking for SAND.......
Getting ready to install the burner.
There's the sand, where is the cat now?
Burner is now in and tested for flame pattern, very important.
Now you pour the sand filler in once the burner is installed
Test it once more!!!!!!!
Here is Mike and his two sons ready to pour and install the glass and deck out the fireplace with BLING!
Starfire Base Glass with Ford Blue on the filler
Azurlite Base Glass as added
Test the burn pattern one more time
Solex Base Glass was added
The puppy inspected. He knows there is sand in there :-)
Azurlite Reflective,
Solex Reflective,
Ford Blue Reflective were added for a touch of sparkle.
No, the glass does not have to stay in the fireplace, be creative!
Mike was clowning around when he placed his SKULL in the fireplace. Megan (his wife) must be so proud!

The panels come in 6 colors/ shades, Bronze, Gray, Black and each in reflective with chromium or sterling silver.
In most average fireplace s the panels are $125.00 each (up to 3 square feet) if a notch is required to clearance the gas line, add $55.00. Typical fireplace if you are doing all 3 panels is $500.00 or just the rear panel = $125.00
