Our fire features and Aquatic Glassel/FireGlass has been featured on TV shows and many 'Do It Yourself' programs. We've dedicated this page to sharing some of those stories and always appreciate when our customers send us photos.
Many other companies claim that their FireGlass is showcased on HGTV. But ask them for their credits...believe me we do the work and they try to steal the glory!
Rich Urban Living Room
Andrew is a hip, young design-loving bachelor who has just moved into the house of his dreams. Up until now he was living the life of a nomadic advertising executive, bouncing from one booming metropolis to the other. He purchased a 1950s home with the ultimate view of a golf course, and this golf-addicted homeowner couldn't be happier. The house has great bones, lots of space and a few recently renovated rooms, but there is one problem. His living room with a view just happens to be painted a very unmanly shade of bubblegum pink.Andrew is longing for something a little more sophisticated and cosmopolitan as well as a space to entertain old friends and new colleagues. It's time for host Candice Olsen to get rid of the pink and add a rich, urban living room redesign that will make Andrew feel right at home.

Simply perfect Contemporary in the country is a way to enjoy the best of both worlds
The family’s theater room takes on a contemporary flare with a stainless steel-tiled fireplace. Shards of glass replace artificial embers in the gas fireplace, creating a glow as the flames flicker. A large screen on a remote control is located above the fireplace, perfect for the family to watch a movie together.

Las Vegas Yard Crashers!
||This is what was done on the first day. I showed up on the beginning of the second and the final day. It's amazing what can take place in just 12 hours! This will air in April of 2010!
Here is a preview
Below the pavers were installed the day before. And then the patio with the outdoor kitchen set aside for now.
There was nothing on the site when it started the day before; even the palm trees were brought in! Below Ahmed was leveling the ground around the fire pit area. Ahmed worked all day, much harder than anyone else! I was very impressed how hard he actually works to get the show done.
Below is where the propane fire pit will sit. The controller will be mounted to the side of the concrete base after the paper tubes are cut away. Above and below you can see the inside of the planter is coated to prevent water from leaching out.
You can see on the ground that we brought the fire bowl in. Just so you know it was about 300 lbs! The trough coming out is actually water fall spilling into a dry creek bed below. The water feature was covered with a glass top making it a dining area as well. On the inner wedges they wrapped rope lights to accent the water and rocks under the glass top.
The sand was installed as a base for the artificial grass to come.
They are now compacting the sand and Ahmed is finishing the dry creek bed.
The dry creek bed is finished and the grass is now installed in the back as well. The fire bowl is fueled by propane and filled with Starfire Base Glass, Ice Ice Ice Toppers and Diamonds on top. We brought out several colors of Diamonds for the customer to pick and choose but she liked them all so much, she installed all of them!
Below you can see after everything was cleaned up how spectacular it turned out!
We are to feature several more episodes with Yard Crashers and we will be showing several more of our new product lines on their shows. We still have several shows we need to post pictures of what we did. Please come back from time to time to see our latest updates.
I thank Ahmed and the producers of the Yard Crashers for giving us the opportunity to work with them.
Thanks to Tiffany, Krystal and Holly at the Big Table Media!

HGTV ask Kenneth Brown http://www.kennethbrowndesign.com/
August 30, 2007 on "Ask Kenneth" I will be answering club members questions about custom fire pits and FireGlass. If you would like to ask questions please email Linda Wiley at firstname.lastname@example.org and submit a question, it’s free! Get your questions in by the end of the week and look for answers next week.
I selected a question that relates to many details of design. Often, it’s these small elements that can pull a room together and give it that “wow” factor. Everything from glass for the fireplace to fake floral arrangements. I hope you enjoy!
Q: My husband saw a room you designed somewhere (he can’t remember if it was in a magazine or TV) and you used small glass pieces in a gas fireplace instead of those regular fake logs. Can you shed light on this for me please? He rarely gets into design and I want to take advantage of this opportunity - Stephanie Harris, High Point NC
A: Stephanie, There are a few alternative inserts for gas fireplaces. One of my favorites is from a company called Moderustic. They sell special glass pieces that come in many colors. DO NOT do what a friend of mine did - he thought any small broken glass pieces could be used and after lighting the fire, glass pieces started popping and shooting into the room. These are great options if you are going for a modern look. Stick to the traditional log style for a classic look.

installed over an 18 round stainless steel ring. It's like Where's Waldo, can you spot the 2 fire pits below?
