The next project is and was designed by Bob and Rachel Fleur. We will explain as we move on:
We were asked to weave stainless steel and brass to create this wall sculpture.
If you notice the pieces are trapezoid shape.
Above we tested the weave, it is very easy to scratch the metal, so be mindful!
We took the strips apart and ground a specific pattern in each piece below.
Then it was carefully assembled and clear coated with a clear urethane (automotive finish).
We also built a special frame to bow the sculpture and tat is also how it was hung on the wall.
We then built a three sided stainless steel surround for their fireplace.
The surround was 1/2" at the sides and bowing to 1 1/2" in the center. It stood 54" tall and was brushed horizontally.
Here is the finished project, Awesome!
After great anticipation, here are pictures of our completed feature wall. Whew! We are very happy with the outcome and very relieved to have this project completed. It looks exactly how I envisioned it should.
Thank you
