The fire pit below was a traditional lava rock fire pit
Now filled with lava rock (crushed 1/4" 3/8") over 3/8" 1/2" crushed. Remember the larger is under the smaller to keep the glass from falling through.
Above a flex line was installed to raise the ring to the surface. You don't want to leave the ring at the bottom unless you want an explosion or if you want to get rid of the significant other.
Below
Pour more crushed lava to make the desired shape of the fire pit and test burn for flame pattern.
Starfire Base Glass and a few other colors were added
Azurlite Base Glass, Scarlet Topper, Red Topping, Ice Ice Ice Topper, Copper Blue Topper, Copper Blue Topper is a chameleon as when it gets hot it turns green and when it cools it turns back to blue!
Patterns, can you do better?
Pretty creative!
Great job and very creative.
The fireplace below has a Starfire Base Glass and several Toppers for color:
Pink, Cobalt Blue, Fuchsia, Hyacinth, Amethyst, Pale Cobalt Blue, Aquamarine, Lilac, Steel Blue and Purple.
Now we added a surround to finish it off. If you look on the lower right there is a remote control which is hidden by the surround.
We use a piece of stainless steel in the front to contain the glass to cover the burners and keep the glass level.
The fireplace below belongs to Ross Barnett in Florida. This was a
ventless propane installation. Ross built a front wave design and we built a special wedge pan with the controls underneath. This is a remote control
ventless burner. Great job Ross! The glass that was uses was:
and here are the before and after pictures.
Above is before the wave
What makes us different from anyone else is that we allow you to exercise your imagination. If you see it, dream it, draw it, imagine it we can build it for you. Ross saw what we did for other customers and he came up with this very cool design for us to build for his family room, thanks Ross!
The fire pit below (from Randy Cox) has a Clear Base Glass with Pale Cobalt Blue Topper and Aquamarine Topper for a simple but very nice fire pit.
Below you can see the larger 3/4"/ 1" crushed lava rock as a base filler.
Below you can now see our 1/4" crushed lava to finish off the larger lava.
The glass goes in and your finished!.
Randy installed a 22" stainless ring and when he took the picture he had the flame on low.

The burner below is one of our
FPPK's (fire pit propane kit). With this FPPK we set it up for
Black Magic! This was table tested for the pictures. Hopefully the customer will send us pictures after and during installation. We first sent these pictures for the customers approval. Here you go! The pan below belongs to Scott Spector and he finally installed the fire pit in his back yard, WOW, one really nice backyard!
As you can see around the lower edges it was leaking and yes we did fix this.
The fire pit below was built by Scott Spector in Florida. He started with an FPPK 30 which includes a 30" base plate and a double 24" stainless steel ring. Here we go from the beginning:
The propane line was run/ installed under the pavers.
The colors that were used are
1/2" Clear Base Glass,
Black Magic in the center,
Clear Diamonds,
Cobalt Blue Topper,
Clear Topper,
Cobalt Blue Light Topper
and our FPPK 30". That is our 30" propane burner. You can see the actual burner above burning before shipment and installation.
We don't have any pictures of the fire pit burning at Scott's but he did tel us that when he fired it up again he would try to send us a few pictures. Thanks Scott.
The fire pit below has V Blue Base Glass, V Blue Reflective Base Glass and topped with Cobalt Blue Topper
This next fireplace is a direct vent conversion and the glass that Charlene used was:
I think she wanted it to POP and it did!
The fireplace below has
a
Starfire Base Glass with:
The
Orange R140 Topper is actually one of our chameleons, it turns to bright red when it gets hot and then changes back!
Our
Copper Blue Topper is a chameleon as well. It turns to green and changes back to blue when cooled!
The fireplace pictures below is a before and after fireplace.
The glass that was installed is:
